Our Association has received a Horizon Enrichment Grant from the Salina Arts and Humanities Commission. This grant was given to assist with the printing of an original watercolor painting of Dunbar School, by our oldest alumni, Dr. Virginia Bell Ricard.
Dr. Ricard started painting at the age of 90. She wanted to help with the Dunbar 100th Anniversary Celebration and gave her painting to the association to help support our Dunbar Alumni/Robert C. Caldwell Memorial Scholarship Program. More information on how to obtain Dr. Ricard’s limited watercolor prints will be coming in the upcoming months.
